On 6 August 2024, we launched a Travel and Accommodations Honourarium application program to provide youth from across Canada with the opportunity of attending this inaugural Canada Youth IGF. The Honourarium program, and broader Canada Youth IGF, have been generously supported by a CIRA Net Good Grant.

Youth in Canada who are interested in becoming future Internet leaders can apply online via Google Form for a Travel and Accommodations Honourarium. These Honourariums will support flights and hotel costs for selectees. Some meals will be covered at the Canada Youth IGF.

We are specifically looking for youth applicants who are:

• Indigenous/Metis/Inuit;
• Persons with a disability/disabilities (visible and/or invisible); and/or
• Young women working to end technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV).

Applicants from rural and remote locations who have low broadband access and therefore cannot attend virtually will be prioritized. We aim to have youth from all provinces and territories represented in-person via the Honourariums program.

Honourarium applications are due Sunday, 25 August 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
